This weekend in motorsport!

This weekend in motorsport saw the MotoGP head to Valencia which looked to stun audiences around the world as a World MotoGP championship belt awaits.

Exciting racing ensued as Franco Morbidelli and Jack Miller raced toe to toe until Franco crossed the line with a tight 0.093 second gap. This ultimately was not enough as Joan Mir took Suzuki to their first MotoGP title since Kenny Roberts Jr in 2000. Our very own Brad Binder finished the race in 5th position.

The Moto2 and Moto3 championships are yet to be concluded as Enea Bastianini looks to keep his 14-point lead over Sam Lowes going into the final, The Portuguese GP.

KTM’s Moto3 rider, Albert Arenas looks to claim his first Moto3 title with Honda’s Ai Ogura and Tony Arbolino hot on his heels with 8 and 11 points needed, respectively. Darryn Binder took the 5th spot on race-day, Darryn now sits in 8th position in the points standings.

In F1, nothing could stop Lewis Hamilton from taking his 7th coveted F1 title, carving his way from 6th to finish in the top spot of the wet Turkish GP for his 94th win of his career, this wasn’t needed as Lewis had a large points lead going into Sunday’s race. Already holding countless driver records, he now joins Michael Schumacher as one of only 2 drivers to hold 7 World F1 titles.
