History was made at the Spanish GP as Ducati’s Jack Miller got his first win with the Ducati Lenovo Team.
Disaster struck mid-way through the race as race leader at the time, Fabio Quartararo, had some major issues that saw him drop from a comfortable 1.5 second lead over Miller to finish in 13th.
Francesco Bagnaia came in second position giving the Ducati Lenovo Team a 1-2 finish. Bagnaia now sits top spot in the points race after Quartararo and Maverick Viñales.
Franco Morbidelli came in 3rd position on his Yamaha.
Our very own Brad Binder will want to quickly forget this race weekend, as a crash on lap 2 of the race saw the South African forced to sit out the remainder of the GP.
Marc Marquez managed a very respectable 9th position, in his second race of the season after not being on the saddle for the past 9 months.
Fabio Di Giannantonio took the win in the Moto2 class, with Marco Bezzecchi and Sam Lowes behind to complete the top 3. Fabio had the race lead for most of the race after starting in P2.
Local boy Pedro Acosta managed a Moto3 win in Spain followed by Italy’s Romano Fenati and another local rider Jeremy Alcoba.
Darryn Binder (South Africa) managed to finish in 22nd in the Spanish GP making it an unpleasant weekend for the Binder Brothers.

Yet another spectacle to behold as Lewis Hamilton was victorious at the Portuguese GP.
Hamilton began the race in P2 behind team-mate, Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton managed to squeeze his way to the top spot after being pushed back to 3rd position behind Max Verstappen.
The Dutchman managed to edge past Bottas to take 2nd position.
Like Hamilton, Verstappen maintained his record of finishing all three races of 2021 so far in either P1 or P2.
The points table sees Hamilton leading with 69 points, with Verstappen close behind on 61 points. The next closest competitor is Lando Norris with 37 points.
Looks like it’s going to be a two horse race between Hamilton vs Verstappen this 2021 season!
